Listed below are all the cheats and codes we have for Contra 3: The Alien Wars on the super nintendo
Infinite lives
At the very beginning of the game run right and jump over the car, run left to get close to the car then turn right and continue to fire using a turbo pad or hold the fire button like in the video below.
It will take a few hours to build up lives.
You can also use the same trick on level 3. When you get to the mini boss (Shown below) run all the way to the left and turn to the right and continue to fire using a turbo pad or hold the fire button. Again build up as many lives as you need.
Skip Current Level
It is possible to skip the current level in all versions of the game. If you die with your last life and then pickup a life the screen will fade to black and you will skip to the level clear screen.
There is no easy way to perform this task and it will most likely only happen by luck.
Start With 30 Lives
Also known as the konami code, it is possible to start the game with 30 lives. Please note this only works on Japanese versions of the game.
At the title screen press DOWN, DOWN+RIGHT, RIGHT, START. If you were successful you will hear a voice clip.
Level Select
Again this only works on Japanese versions of the game. On the main menu highlight the required game mode and press DOWN, DOWN-LEFT, LEFT, UP-LEFT, UP, START.
Sound Test
In the Japanese versions of the game you can access a sound test screen from the main menu by pressing Right, Right-Down, Right and X.
